Job Duties:
March is prep month for the coming year. April, May and June are planting months and the start of haying season. June and early July are wheat harvest months depending on weather. June, July and August are the months we keep irrigation going on our corn and soybeans. September and October are fall harvesting months as well as rye and wheat seeding. November is generally cleaning up equipment and putting it away as well as getting ready for winter. Spraying is done throughout the season as needed. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, manure spreading equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, sprayers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, hay, soybeans, wheat. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
