Job Duties:

Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and silage choppers. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as discs or planters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Direct and monitor the activities of work crews engaged in planting, weeding, or harvesting activities. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Weigh crop-filled containers, record weights and other identifying information. Other general seasonal farm duties. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Herd livestock to pastures for grazing or other enclosures. Vaccinate livestock. Inspect, maintain, and repair livestock equipment, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Move livestock equipment from one location to another, manually or using trucks or trailers. Drive pick-up truck to town for cattle supplies on occasion.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
