Job Duties:

The worker will perform seasonal agricultural duties on a family-operated grain farm producing corn, soybeans, and wheat in Nelson County, North Dakota. Duties include operating agricultural equipment and field machinery such as tractors and related implements used in field preparation, planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. The worker will assist with hands-on crop production activities throughout the active farming season, from late winter through late fall, when fieldwork is required due to climate and crop schedules. Work tasks involve preparing fields for planting, operating machinery during seeding and cultivation, and assisting with harvesting operations during peak periods. The worker will support daily farm operations directly related to crop production and seasonal agricultural needs. Duties are performed outdoors and require working long hours during busy periods to ensure crops are planted and harvested in a timely manner. The position is seasonal, limited to the months when agricultural fieldwork is active. The worker will assist with general farm labor as needed in support of planting, growing, and harvesting crops, using agricultural equipment and performing manual tasks necessary to meet the farm’s seasonal labor demands. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements:

No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
