- Job Duties:
- Tends to livestock, distributes feed and water; herds livestock into partitioned fenced pastures to maintain controlled natural breeding; assists with controlled natural breeding within appropriate time frames; herds livestock during pasture rotation to maintain orderly grazing; herds livestock to loading/unloading enclosures; and for identity marks/tags; assists with visual checks for illness, injury, or disease; assists with cattle births; using ranch tractor equipment. Keeps right of ways maintained and clear for herding and for excess pastures; mows grass fields, bails and stores hay; builds and repairs fences.
