Job Duties:

All applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box A.3 & A.4. Workers will perform a combination of tasks involved in the planting, cultivating, and harvesting of diversified ground crops according to the instructions of the supervisor. Workers will drive tractors, and other large farm equipment, including loaders, and skid steers. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. The worker must have an Endorsement F or G license from the State of New York to operate a Designated Covered Farm Vehicle within New York State. The employer will cover this expense and allow 90 days to obtain this endorsement. Workers will repair fences and plant alfalfa and spread manure. Starting in April and June, workers will plant corn and other vegetables. From June through September, workers will harvest hay. In September through early December, workers will perform duties of corn harvest, tillage of vegetables and farm crop land. Worker will also perform other duties related to planting, maintaining, and harvesting of crops. Workers will load and unload trucks and must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently. Work requires standing, kneeling and bending for long periods of time. Worker must be willing to work in varied weather conditions from cold, damp spring and fall days to hot, humid summer days. Workers must be available to work on Saturdays. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the crop conditions. Workers may require to work 9 hours shift on Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm and may require to work on a Saturday for 7 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm. Worker will be given a 30-minute lunch break, and 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon. Worker must take directions in simple English. 3 workers starting on 03/01/2026 and ending on 12/15/2026. 2 workers starting on 03/22/2026 and ending on 12/15/2026.
