- Job Duties:
- Cultivate sod that is healthy, robust, and weed-free. Till, rake, and clear soil of rocks and vegetation. Spread compost to fertilize soil with nutrients. Plant seeds. Water, mow, and fertilize sod. Harvest sod and underlying soil so that the root systems have a base in which to grow. Cut and shape sod. Deliver and install sod. The work day may begin / end earlier or later on any given day and evening. Typical workweek is Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m., with potential nights and weekends required depending on the crops and weather.
