Job Duties:

We operate a corn, soybean, and hay farm and require seasonal employees to assist throughout the crop production season. Employees will perform a variety of duties related to raising and harvesting these crops, including preparing fields for planting; attaching and adjusting farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, planters, and harvesters using hand tools; and operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery. Duties include planting, cultivating, weeding, spraying, fertilizing, and harvesting crops; applying fertilizers and pesticides to control insects, weeds, fungus, and crop diseases; and loading and unloading crops or materials manually or with conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks. Employees will manipulate equipment controls, monitor machinery during operation to detect malfunctions, drive farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, and perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on farm equipment as needed. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
