Job Duties:

We are operating a small soybean and sugar cane farm. We utilize modern farming equipment including tractors, excavators and skid steers. We may start growing landscape shrubs and trees in the near future. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, planters, self-propelled machinery, skid steers, sprayers, spreaders, straight frame trucks, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: bushes, corn, flowers, grain sorghum, nursery plants, shrubs, soybeans, trees, Sugar cane.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
