Job Duties:

Need a mechanically inclined worker to do simple maintenance on farm equipment and other shop work. Drive a semi truck to haul water, load chemicals in a mixing tank or manually into the top of a sprayer tank and fill a self propelled sprayer. Organize, clean and perform various shop duties. Drive a pickup truck to various farm locations and change irrigation well settings and valves in the mornings and late in the afternoon. Setup, repair, maintain and operate irrigation equipment. Clean work areas and maintain the inside and outside of the shop and keep it looking orderly and neat. Be knowledgeable of and have the ability to or be willing to learn to drive a tractor with gps guidance, with 38 foot implement equipment on the back and do field work or anything else that is required with a tractor or self propelled sprayer or fertilize applicator. Also need to be able to drive down the highway from one farm location to another. Have the ability to use a shovel, hoe or any other tool that is used to dig dirt or chop weeds. Have the ability to do routine maintenance on pickup trucks, tractors, sprayers, cotton pickers, power unit motors, combines, semi truck, farm implements and anything else on the farm operation. Do manual cleaning of combine, cotton pickers to remove trash and debris every morning during harvest. Pull a seed tender wagon to and from fields and fill the wagon with seed and the planters with seed from the wagon. Also have to be able to haul bags of seed and manually load them into the planter hoppers. Have the ability to lift and load wrap into the back of the cotton picker, the roll weighs 230 pounds and is handled by two people with one on each side. Speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 130 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
