- Job Duties:
- Assist in the raising of seasonal heirloom broiler chickens and vegetables. Prepare fields for planting. Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest fruit and vegetables. Use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears and knives. Manage a composting program. Transport compost to vegetable fields and apply as fertilizer. Assist in the slaughtering, processing and packaging of chickens. General farm upkeep duties such as facility maintenance, mowing yards and cleaning tools and equipment.
