Job Description

Full Time:
Yes
Number of Workers Requested:
6
Job Duties:
***RFI Response*** The refreshments these workers will sell and serve to customers are food items and beverages which are prepackage and pre-made. Fountain Drinks, Sausage & Burgers, Funnel Cakes & Corn Dogs. Fountain Drinks: At the start of the shift, worker would open bags of ice (typically 10 to 20 pounds, ice cubed) into both the reservoir on the top of the dispenser and into the ice bin. Worker would ensure that the tanks or cartons of syrup (flavoring) have product in them and are attached to the Fountain Drink Machine. Worker would ensure that there are sufficient cups in the cup dispenser for the anticipated need during the shift and if there is a shortage, walk to the storage area and retrieve additional cups to place into the dispenser. When an order comes in for a certain flavor of drink, size, ice/light ice/no ice, from a patron, the worker would prepare the proper size, flavor drink and place a plastic lid on the cup. Worker would place the drink into the serving area so that another worker, with direct contact with the patron, is able to provide the drink(s) to the patron, along with the balance of the order. Sausage & Burgers. All the meats come prepackaged. The vegetables are uncooked, and packaged as pre-cut in bite sized pieces. The meat items as well as the vegetables would be placed on a grill to cook, using tongs to place them onto the grill and a turner spatula to move them around the grill. Part of the grill would be at full heat to grill the meat items, part would be kept at medium heat to grill the vegetables, and parts of the grill would be kept at low temperature to hold the meats and vegetables until they are ready to serve to the public. Funnel Cakes, Corn Dogs. Items would be cooked in deep fryers. The workers would stand in front of the specific unit they oversaw operating. On one side of the unit there would be the raw materials (such as skewered hot dogs, corn dog, funnel cake & Oreo batter). A portion of the batter would be taken from the container mixed in and scooped using a large ladle into the funnel cake pourer. The batter would be poured slowly into the basket, in one general location, so that strings of batter would cling together. When one side of the funnel cake is brown, the worker would use a large spoon (to drain grease) to flip the half-cooked funnel cake. When the funnel cake is fully cooked its placed into a tray to allow the excess grease to drain while keeping the funnel cake at a proper serving temperature. Same process is done for corn dogs. ***Original F.a.2*** Perform variety of attending duties at mobile food concession. Arrange tables and decorations according to instructions.
