Job Duties:

Prepares site for new sod installation. Clearing and grading of ground area, hauls and spreads topsoil, removes roots, rocks and other debris from topsoil. Prepares the soil with tools like rototillers, hand shovels, wheelbarrows, and rakes. Lays sod, seeds lawns, waters sod, applies fertilizers and weed control. Mow, edge, pulls weeds by hand. Loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Maintains equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning. May drive company truck or other vehicle to transport crews, materials, and tools to/from or at worksites. The employer will offer a minimum of 35 hours of work per week. Normal schedule Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm. Work on Saturday may be required as necessary. Workdays and hours may vary depending on weather conditions.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including Saturdays and holidays when necessary. Applicant must complete an employment application. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay period for approved cost of meals and lodging at the applicable exchange rate, not to exceed reasonable costs. Receipts must be submitted. The employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). The employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
