Job Duties:
As a Line Cook, the worker must perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame, demonstrating knowledge of and ability to work at all stations in the kitchen, including plating and preparing all menu items. Communicate effectively with the culinary team to coordinate hot and cold foods, conveying all food item needs for current and future shifts. Maintain sanitation standards as per health department regulations and ensure cleanliness of work areas and shared kitchen spaces. Prepare culinary dishes to Omni standards and execute F&B orders promptly, completing any additional duties assigned by the Executive or Sous Chef. Work one to two days ahead of operations to ensure timely product delivery and sufficient supplies. Be friendly, greet guests with a smile, and use surnames when available, creating memorable, WOW experiences for each guest. Assist in maintaining the proper sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment, uphold quality and flavor standards, and control the quality and consistency of all served food. Ensure work areas are set at least 15 minutes prior to service and that all necessary supplies are readily available. Aid in producing and plating dishes, properly store food items for advanced preparation, and promptly report any maintenance or security issues to the appropriate departments. Special skill requirements: Worker must possess advanced knife skills and a strong background in prep, hot line, and cold line. Highly motivated self-starter with a focus on quality, organization, cleanliness, and teamwork. The worker must be skilled in multi-tasking within fast-paced, high-pressure environments, executing delegated tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude. It is also required that the worker be creative, enthusiastic, and dynamic, and be able to thrive under pressure. The worker must be able to perform multiple functions, troubleshoot as needed, and deliver excellent customer service and verbal communication. Push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance. Position works in the interior of the hotel, in restaurant and kitchen areas with exposure to humidity, steam and extreme temperatures. Exposure to F&B hazardous cleaning chemicals. Conversational English required.
