- Job Duties:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on drywall panels. Cut drywall. Secure panels to wood or metal frameworks using screws, nails, or adhesives. Install panels using lifts, ladders, scaffolds, or mechanical lifts. Repair or replace damaged drywall as needed. Apply tape and compound to drywall seams and joints. Spread multiple coats of sealing compound and smooth surfaces. Sand joints, seams, and repaired surfaces. Repair dents, cracks, and imperfections. Operate mechanical taping tools. Tools/equipment used include: utility knives, hand saws, power saws, screw guns, drills, hammers, trowels, broad knives, mechanical tape applicators, compound dispensers, hand and power sanders.
