Job Duties:

***RFI Response*** The employer will be providing Fountain, bottle drinks, nachos & pizza. Fountain and bottled drinks. These workers would NOT be serving any alcoholic beverages. For a fountain drink, the worker would take the proper size cup in their hand, use and ice scoop to scoop ice into the cup (unless the patron ordered no ice), place the cup under the nozzle, press the cup against the lever and fill the cup. Take a lid from the lid supply and secure this on the top of the cup. From time to time, the worker would need to restock the cups, lids and ice from the appropriate storage area. If the machine runs out of syrup, the worker would need to locate in the storage area the proper flavor of prepackaged syrup, disconnect the empty syrup container, connect the full syrup container, and then discard the empty container. If there was an issue with the operation of the machine or the gas, notify a supervisor to have this taken care of. At the end or the day, carefully clean the fountain machine.Bottled drinks, the worker would simply pull a bottle of the requested flavor/brand of bottled drink from the cooler. Provide the bottle with or without a cup/ice/lid as per the customers request to the server or directly to the customer, depending upon what position (front counter taking orders, etc., or back of the house preparing the orders) is filling that shift. NACHOS: Chips, Cheese, Sliced Jalapenos, Nacho Trays are all available from a variety of companies, including Gold Medal Products1 or from local distributors. Pre-preparation would include retrieving a supply of all of the food and serving items from storage. The cheese sauce we purchase in plastic bags and one is placed into a Gehis® cheese machine (to heat and maintain the cheese sauce at the proper temperature and consistency). Workers serving Nachos would stand at the front counter, communicating with the customer. After taking the order, would scoop Chips into the Nacho Tray aka Boat, press the lever on the cheese machine, and use tongs to sprinkle Sliced Jalapenos on top (if the patron requested Jalapenos), provide napkins and provide to the patron after payment. Pizza: The pizza is placed on the upper counter, under heat lamps and then a worker who would be working the front counter would then: Slide the pizza down to the lower counter. Using a Pizza Cutter the worker would cut the pizza and: Either place the whole pizza in a box, and deliver to the customer that ordered the custom pizza; or Place individual slices on paper plates, and then slide those plates into the heated display case. ***Original F.a.2*** Perform a variety of duties at traveling carnival. Set up, tear-down, operate amusement rides & food concessions. Details of tasks that may be involved in this position: May sell tickets & collect fees from customers; provide information about the facilities, rules and regulations; direct patrons to rides, seats or attractions; monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures; provide assistance to patrons entering or exiting amusement rides; clean rides, booths, facilities or grounds; inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks, such as oiling parts; fasten safety devices for patrons, or provide them with directions for fastening devices; announce or describe amusement attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and/or other entertainment; and sell and serve refreshments to customers.
