Job Duties:

***RFI Response*** Duties listed as “sell and serve refreshments to customers” The workers will be greeting guests at the food concession counter or window by taking orders for refreshments such as nachos, pizza and fountain drinks. Answering questions about menu items, ingredients, portion sizes and pricing. Collecting tickets. The workers would be preparing and portioning food items according to company standards. They will heat and assemble pre-cooked pizza slices using convection or pizza ovens. Dispense nachos and apply melted cheese using portion-controlled cheese dispensers or warmers. Workers will pour fountain drinks using a multi-valve soda dispensing system. Monitor food temperatures and maintain food safety protocols. Package and serve food and beverages in disposable containers or trays and refill condiment stations (napkins, straws, ketchup, etc.) and maintain presentation. The equipment & systems used for the concession stand are the following equipment: Commercial pizza oven or warmer, nacho cheese warmer and dispenser, soda fountain machine & microwave, refrigerated storage units and hot holding units. The employee will be working in a traveling carnival business at fairs and festivals. ***Original Duties*** Perform a variety of duties at traveling carnival. Set up, tear-down, operate amusement rides, food concessions, game concessions and/or novelty concessions. Details of tasks that may be involved in this position: May sell tickets & collect fees from customers; provide information about the facilities, rules and regulations; direct patrons to rides, seats or attractions; monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures; provide assistance to patrons entering or exiting amusement rides; clean rides, booths, facilities or grounds; inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks, such as oiling parts; fasten safety devices for patrons, or provide them with directions for fastening devices; announce or describe amusement attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and/or other entertainment; and sell and serve refreshments to customers.
