Job Duties:

**RFI** 1. With regard to duties involved with installation of decks, the workers’ duties are strictly limited to minimal and incidental assisting tasks such as handing simple, light hand tools to the skilled installer when requested; placing small items within reach of the installer as directed, and briefly steadying a component while another worker performs the installation. Workers do not carry or transport any deck building materials, or perform any measuring, cutting, framing, fastening, anchoring, or structural work on decks, and do not use power tools or specialized equipment. Any actual deck installation would be performed by other, more skilled workers in different positions 2. With regard to duties involved with installation of fences, workers perform only minor, non-skilled support tasks, including holding lightweight posts or panels in position while other workers secure them and passing basic hand tools to the skilled installer on request. Workers do not carry, move, or distribute fence materials, do not dig, measure, level, concrete, or fasten, and do not operate power tools or mechanical equipment for fence installation. The fences involved are basic wood or vinyl fences, and all fence installation work is carried out entirely by other workers in different job roles. 3. With regard to installation of playground equipment, workers’ duties are restricted to very limited, non-skilled assistance, including setting down a light pre-fabricated component in a specified spot as directed, briefly steadying parts while other workers install and secure them, and passing simple hand tools to the installer upon request. Workers do not transport or handle equipment as a primary duty, do not assemble, anchor, secure, or mechanically install any components, and do not use power tools, concrete equipment, or specialized machinery to install playground equipment. All playground equipment installation is performed solely by other workers in different positions. **Original** Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers must be able to perform a variety of tasks without close supervision, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, shoveling, mulching, weeding, and raking. Assists with sprinkler installation, installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units/pavers/similar. Assist with installation of rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage/irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, and/or playground equipment. Assist with grading and contouring for proper drainage. Loading/unloading landscape equipment/materials; clean equipment/worksite when job is complete. Must exercise independent judgment; may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees but position does not include supervision of other workers.

Special Requirements:

Requires three months of previous landscape experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire at random. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
