Job Duties:

***2nd RFI Response*** Sugar and Flossine are placed in cotton candy machines. While the sugar is spinning, a cotton candy cone is used to lift the spun candy out and into cotton candy bags, tied and hung. Popcorn seed, oil, and salt are placed into commercial popper. The unit produces fresh-popped popcorn. Popcorn is scooped into popcorn bags/boxes. Melt caramels in crock pot, wash apple, insert wooden stick into center, holding apple by stick, dip apple in warm caramel, coating completely, allow excess to drip back into the crockpot. Place on parchment paper and refrigerate, once set place in cellophane bags. Pizza crusts are thawed, brushed with pizza sauce, topped with cheese, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, and onions; and placed on conveyor of pizza oven. When baked, a pizza cutter is used to make slices which are placed under heat lamps. Served on plates or boxes. Heat cheese in crockpot, place tortilla chips in paper serving bowls, ladle melted cheese on chips, top with prepared sliced jalapeños. Steak or chicken is grilled on flat top for tacos. Top warm tortillas with meat, cheese, cilantro, onions, salsa and jalapeños. Soft Serve Ice Cream Machine is used to prepare ice cream, use handle to release ice cream in cone. Wrap cone with provided paper. Use handle to release ice cream in bowls and add toppings such as warm fudge, strawberry preserves. Following simple specified instructions: Set up-take down booths by opening awnings, putting up signage and flags utilizing a ladder, hammers and screwdrivers. Takedown will use the same tools in reverse order of setup. All required tools are provided. Stock booths with food items or prizes and equipment according to a provided check list. Using basic cleaning supplies and following proper safety precautions and sanitary measures cooking utensils are washed and put away. The interior of trailers is cleaned; ensure all items are cleaned and stored in a specified safe manner for transportation. Attend and Maintain equipment by following simple specified instructions for equipment utilized. Check for any food service equipment not working properly and report to maintenance personnel for repair or replacement. For example, watch for damage to electrical cords and report issues as needed. Assist patrons in getting into rides, inform patron to fasten belt, bar, or other safety device. Ensure safety at all times. Operate the control console to start and stop the ride. Attend games by explaining the rules of the games, assist in playing the games (such as handing a patron a ball to throw or ring to toss), retrieving and providing prizes for winners at games. ***RFI Response*** Prepare simple daily food items and beverages-typical carnival foods such as cotton candy, popcorn, Caramel apples, pizza nachos, grilled tacos and ice cream cones, following specific methods that usually require short preparation time. Following simple specified instructions: Set up-Stock the booth with food items and equipment according to a provided check list. Using basic cleaning supplies such as Dawn, Windex, Mr. Clean, sanitizer tablets and following proper safety precautions and sanitary measures ensure all items are cleaned and stored in a specified safe manner for transportation. Setup and take down tools include: ladder, hammers, screw drivers. All required tools are provided. ***Original Duties*** Perform a variety of attending duties at amusement or recreation facility. Collect tickets/fees; assist patrons; erect, take down, attend/operate and maintain equipment (rides, games, concessions); make change; sell and serve food and drinks. Prepare food such as cotton candy, popcorn, caramel apples, pizza, nachos, grilled tacos, ice cream cones, sundaes and fountain beverages. Set up - stock/clean and ready for service, tear down - pack up stock and close down booth, heavy lifting and physically mobile, operate food concessions, games and amusement rides.
