Job Duties:
The Coffee House Attendant will attend to and service guests in the Marketplace experience as well as room service orders. Associate will accurately and efficiently prepare hot and cold drinks, as well as prepare and portion food products prior to serving. The Associate will upsell beverages, pastries, and other selections, accurately process transactions for food and retail items, and provide excellent service to all guests. The worker will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests. Taking beverage and food orders in a professional manner, and answering guest questions about menu items, Brewing gourmet coffee and other specialty beverages. The worker will also sell sandwiches, snacks, espresso, and specialty beverages. The worker will be responsible for upselling and suggestive selling of items. The worker must accurately process cash, credit, and check transactions and maintain a balanced bank. The worker must communicate with the culinary team when more product is needed. The worker will need to have knowledge of the food menu and wine list (when applicable). Stock condiment trays, coffee station, display cases, and refrigerators. The workers must clean the area as needed and at the end of the shift. Handle all checks and cash according to procedures and in the point-of-sale system. The worker must print reports at the end of the shift, bank out, and attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions. The worker must familiarize themselves with all property amenities and other local restaurants and know and adhere to all liability laws. The worker must respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the manager and/or supervisor. Complete other duties assigned by the manager and/or supervisor. Special Requirements: The worker must have the ability to check in retail merchandise with accuracy and restock the Café counter to supply and demand. Good communication skills working directly with customers face-to-face, as well as good phone etiquette. Understanding of the basic operation of kitchen equipment as it relates to the Café counter. Involved in physical inventories once per quarter or 4 times per year.

Must have a flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, and early morning shifts. 3 Months of customer service experience are required; relevant barista or food and beverage experience is preferred. Must have excellent communication skills both in person and on the phone. Must be able to bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 30lbs. Must be able to stand for the length of the shift. Unexpired ServSafe Certification must be presented on the first day worked and renewed on or before the expiration date throughout employment. Unexpired RAMP Certification must be presented on the first day worked and renewed on or before the expiration date throughout employment. Conversational English required. Must pass a post-employment criminal background check, paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. Workers are subject to reasonable and/or post-injury/incident drug-testing, paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. The work schedule is as follows: 35 hours per week. Workdays vary SundaySaturday, with rotating shifts including 5:00am-1:30pm, 6:00am2:30pm, 10:00am6:30pm, and 6:00pm12:30am. Schedule changes weekly. All shifts are 8.5 hours long, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The basic wage rate is $16.11 per hour upon hire. After 3 months of continuous employment, the wage increases to $17.01 per hour; after 6 months, it increases to $17.90 per hour. Effective October 1, 2026, the base wage rate increases to $18.40 per hour. The employer may, at its discretion, provide wage increases based on experience, tenure, performance, market conditions, and/or as outlined in the CBA. Overtime hours may be available at $24.17 per hour. Effective October 1, 2026, overtime will be paid at $27.60 per hour. An overtime premium will be paid when Work performed by an employee in excess of eight hours in a workday (ten hours for employees working a four ten-hour workweek), 40 hours in any one workweek, or on the sixth or seventh day of work in the same workweek, shall be considered as overtime, and compensation shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times his/her regular hourly rate, unless such sixth or seventh day is voluntary in order to secure more hours of work. Overtime at time and one-quarter shall be paid for all hours worked on the eighth consecutive day of work with time and one-half for hours worked on the ninth consecutive day of work, and double time on the tenth and continuing consecutive days (eleventh, twelfth, etc.) of work regardless of workweek. (These provisions for premium pay on a sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth and continuing consecutive days of work set forth in the CBA are waived for any employee requesting to work such a schedule.)
