- Job Duties:
- Employer is a resort and hotel located in the Tampa area of Florida. Employer maintains two restaurants, a poolside bar and grill and a lobby café. Food items are prepared in one of the commercial kitchens within the resort and club. Dishes are made to order and if needed buffet oriented due to events. • Cook food over heat, garde manger & prepare dishes in a sanitary & timely manner. • Cook on the line, prepare sauces & soups. • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, rotating stock, taking inventory & restock items as needed throughout shift. • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Assists with cleaning, sanitation and organizing of kitchen, walk-in coolers & all storage areas. • Sets up, cleans & maintains station in time for service.

- 3 MONTHS PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE AS A COOK IN A HOTEL, RESORT, COUNTRY CLUB, OR OTHER SETTING. INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM ALL ASPECTS OF COOKING ROLE. CONVERSATION ENGLISH LANGUAGE PREFERRED. DEPENDING ON COMPANY POLICY IN EFFECT AT HIRE, APPLICANTS MAY BE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST; THIS INCLUDES DOMESTIC AND H2B VISA EMPLOYEES IN SEASONAL OR FULL-TIME AND ANNUAL POSITIONS AND IS APPLIED TO ALL APPLICANTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR NATIONAL ORIGIN, RACE, GENDER. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Work hours and shifts vary as scheduled between operating hours generally 7:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. Drug testing and/or background testing required in accordance with company policy in effect at time of hire.
