Job Duties:

Fill cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, or other fillers; use caulk guns or putty knives; cover surfaces with dropcloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting, smooth surfaces using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, or sanding machines; receive work order or instructions from supervisors or homeowners to determine work requirements; apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces to bare wood or metal for finish coats; apply paint to surfaces using brushes, spray guns, and rollers; protect structures or surfaces near work areas to avoid damage; performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and bending or twisting body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials; wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats. Other duties aligned with SOC Code 47-2141 Painters, Construction and Maintenace.
