- Job Duties:
- Laborers will pack and unpack trucks with nursery stock and materials; assist customers with loading plant materials and supplies; and perform general nursery work including standing up plant material, tagging orders, re-spacing and blocking plants, re-burlapping balled and burlap stock, covering and uncovering houses, mowing, string trimming, pruning, cutting ties, hand watering, irrigation, weeding, and placing signage. Laborers will maintain tools and equipment, clean and organize work areas including offices, bathrooms, outdoor displays, walkways, barns, and storage areas by sweeping, mopping, hosing, emptying trash, and removing damaged or unusable materials. Workers will not plant, cultivate, or harvest field crops intended for consumption. All work is performed at the employer’s nursery and retail yard, in connection with the commercial sale and distribution of nursery stock.

- Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire background check required of foreign and domestic workers. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with seasonal workload demands, follow directions, and perform tasks independently with minimal supervision. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
