Job Duties:

All aspects of commercial beekeeping. Raise queens by isolating them by hand and feeding them. Feed & medicate bees utilizing simple application processes. Make frames and build and repair honey boxes utilizing simple hand tools such as hammers, glue and nails. Haul hives to and from field locations by manually lifting hives onto company transportation equipment. General facility maintenance and sanitation utilizing basic commercial cleaning equipment and supplies such as mops, rags and sanitizer.

HOUSING AND TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED BY EMPLOYER. A GENERAL WORK WEEK IS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM. HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF THE COMPLEXITY OF CROP CONDITIONS WORKERS MAY BE REQUESTED TO WORK LONG DAYS AS WELL AS ON SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS OR FEDERAL HOLIDAYS, DEPENDING UPON THE CONDITIONS OF THE COMMODITIES BEING PRODUCED.
