Job Duties:
See Addendum. Workers will drive & operate farm equipment (tractors, sprayers, combines, trucks, forklifts, mowers, etc.) to assist in the planting, cultivating, & harvesting diversified crops. Attach implements to tractor & operate to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize, spray, etc. Will operate equipment during harvest. Will adjust implements & equipment to ensure proper operation & optimum performance. Will check pre-operation, monitor and maintain engine driven & mechanical equipment; i.e., check oil, coolant levels, refuel, lubricate with grease, & make adjustments as necessary & required. Drive trucks & tow trailers to haul farm related materials, supplies,& harvested crops to designated locations as directed by supervisor. May load & unload trucks & trailers by hand or with forklift. May assist in mixing materials for spraying applications. Please see ETA Form 9142 Supplement for a complete job description & work activities. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds throughout the entire workday. THIS IS HARD WORK AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGING.

Special Requirements:
See Addendum. Applicants must posses proper license (minimum class C or its foreign equivalent)to legally operate farm trucks on public highways in the jurisdictions involved in NC. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 months verifiable experience operating 125+ horsepower farm machinery. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds on a consistent basis throughout each workday. Workers may be required to take a drug &/or alcohol test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply with the requirement will result in immediate termination. Testing is not part of the interview process and will occur after employment begins. Employer will provide 1 hour demonstration of proper methods and job specifications.

See Addendum. Workers are guaranteed that their total earnings will be at least equal to the applicable AEWR per hour for all hours worked in a pay period. If a workers total average hourly earnings in any pay period in which the worker has worked at a piece rate are less than the applicable AEWR for all hours worked in the pay period, the employer will increase the workers pay to the guaranteed minimum for the total hours worked in the respective pay period. In accordance with the regulations at 20 CFR 655.122(l) governing rates of pay, the wage rate offered herein is the highest of the applicable adverse effect wage rate (AEWR), the prevailing hourly or piece rate, the agreed upon collective bargaining wage or the Federal or State minimum wage rate, in effect at the time work is performed, for every hour or portion thereof worked during a pay period covered by the approved labor certification, the AEWR is subject to go up or down and the growers will make the adjustments accordingly when the AEWR is published in the Federal Register.
