Job Description

- Job Duties:
- By hand, weeding, thinning, planting hoeing and harvesting asparagus, radish, spinach, squash, red beet, pumpkin, chili, peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe, sweet corn, and beans. Remove bedding plastic and clean up fields. Must be able to lift and carry 60 lb boxes or bags. Must be able to toss and stack 25 lb. watermelons and load bins. Workers will pack product into boxes in the warehouse. Maintain farm equipment, vehicles and farm grounds. Must be able to bend and stoop throughout the day. Work is to be done for long periods of time and requires repetitive motion and extensive walking. Workers are exposed to wet weather and the heat of the day working in the fields. Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations. Care must be taken to prevent damaging produce and plants. Three months experience in the selection and harvesting of mature melons.
