Job Duties:
Plant, cultivate and harvest fruits and vegetables including but not limited to: peaches, nectarines, apples, strawberries, pumpkins, blueberries, leafy greens, watermelons, carrots, squash, beans, corn, cucumbers, peppers, eggplant, turnips, tomatoes, grapes, scuppernongs, muscadines, onions, peas, tomatillos and gourds. Perform ongoing orchard maintenance including pruning and thinning fruit trees. Operate forklifts, tractors and other farm equipment during field operations.

Special Requirements:
Workers are expected to possess the skills to work in the production of crops or agricultural commodities listed in this job order. The introductory period for all crop activities is 2 days starting with the first day of employment to acclimate the worker to the physical demands of the job and to familiarize workers with job specifications and to demonstrate proper methods and crop or commodity specific issues. There will be a short demonstration period (up to 1 hour) to familiarize workers with job specifications, to demonstrate proper methods and other crop specific issues. The employer will not provide separate formal orientation or instructional periods for each different crop or each different type of task or job assignment covered within the job description. After completion of the demonstration period the employer will expect all workers to possess the skills to work in the production of the crops listed.
