Job Duties:

Perform manual labor to plant, transplant, cultivate, harvest, field pack, load and unload strawberry plants, strawberries, blackberries, pumpkins, peppers, tomatoes, beans, cabbage, sweet corn, squash and watermelons by hand, by machine and using hand tools.

Special Requirements:

Workers are expected to possess the skills to work in the production of crops or agricultural commodities listed in this job order. The introductory period for all crop activities is 2 days starting with the first day of employment to acclimate the worker to the physical demands of the job and to familiarize workers with job specifications and to demonstrate proper methods and crop or commodity specific issues. Work is outside and may be in inclement weather including extreme heat, cold, and light rain or snow. Perform repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking and heavy lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs. Drug testing will be conducted post hire when federally required.
