Job Duties:

Watermelon Pitching Workers will be required to pick up watermelons previously cut that are laying on the ground. Workers will then pass watermelons between themselves and other workers to arrive and to be loaded onto a truck that is moving through the field. Bending lifting stooping crawling carrying and walking are all tasks required by this job. Workers will be required to work under full weather conditions which may include high temperatures and or rain and may work extensive hours. Workers may stand in bins on top of moving trucks to load watermelon into plastic bins for watermelon shipping.

*SEE ADDENDUM C B.4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 50 lbs. B.4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. B.4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, crop containers, etc. B.4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extended periods of time. B.4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor. B.4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties.
