Job Duties:

Workers will perform general field duties to include but not limited to cleaning vegetables, fields, melon vines, and picking long green chile. Must quality pick, no bruising, select mature chile and put it in a bucket. Must be able to carry full buckets of chile to trailers and back. Able to lift 30 + lbs. and work in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, moisture, and dust). Will also work in shed dumping and placing melons on production line to start packing process. Clean, sort, and package watermelons in boxes. All employees will assist with cleaning duties at the end of the shift. Days and hours will vary (+/-); possible down times and/or extended hours. Must have 3 months farm/shed work experience. All applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform duties described and must be available for the entire period specified and work in the area of intended employment.

Special Requirements:

Shed workers must follow health and safety requirements such as hairnets, gloves, aprons, no jewelry allowed are other as designated. Note** We provide hairnets, gloves, and aprons. Field workers will be exposed to outdoor conditions. They should dress appropriately for warm weather, for example, layer clothing, head protection such as hats, proper footwear for working in field conditions. Employees must provide their own footwear.
