Job Duties:

Workers will perform activities to breed and raise live crickets for use in pet food and bait. Will feed, water, pack, and clean cages on daily basis. Crickets are grown in boxes weighing approx 50 lbs and kept in whse facilities on employers farm. Boxes are stacked on racks 6ft in height. Workers will pull boxes from racks, clean filler of all unwanted product (manure, food) and return to racks or other locations as instructed. Workers will also be required to transfer live crickets and eggs to appropriate locations at employers instruction. Workers must be able to walk 5 - 10 miles daily, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb to heights of 6 ft. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures. These activities must be preformed on a daily basis. Other misc activities include operating tractors, lifts, small power tools & hand tools. Workers must maintain grounds and buildings located on farm. Keeping all work areas clean throughout the season is crucial to the growth and production of crickets. Working with this product requires extreme care and proper handling techniques to avoid loss of crickets. Handling of live product can create high stress levels for workers. Post hire drug tests and background checks may be required at employers expense. Requires 3 mos verifiable on job experience.
