Job Duties:

Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants and flowers using hand and gardening tools. Transplant and/or pot and label them. Detect the presence of insects or disease by feeling plants leaves and noting their coloring. Operate 50 HP tractors, forklifts, bale busters and other machinery and equipment to fertilize, cultivate, and spray greenhouses, plants and pumpkins. Will operate equipment in farm fields and drive on farm roads. Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality. Spray plants/flowers with prescribed herbicides, fungicides and pesticides to control diseases and insects under strict supervision. Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings and cuttings. Move containerized plants, and flowers, using wheelbarrows or tractors. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping. Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil, using wheelbarrows or carts and shovels. Will lift and carry bags of fertilizer weighing up to 80 pounds. Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. Workers must have experience in working with farm sanitary and safety practices as required in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) plans. Employer will furnish to workers, without cost, all tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Workers should report for work with their own suitable work clothing. Field temperatures may range from 0 degrees to 90+ degrees F and work may be done in the rain, snow, mud, wind and sun. Due to health and safety concerns relating to pesticide application and the operation of equipment on our farm, workers are required to have the ability to comprehend simple oral and written instructions in English. After hiring, employer may conduct random drug tests at employers expense. Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of 3 months experience in performing tasks described in this order.

a. Workers must be able to demonstrate that they are physically able to perform the work as described. b. The employer will provide 0 days of training for worker to reach production standards (if applicable.). c. Employer may require worker to perform any available general farm work if the guarantee referenced in Section 17a Additional Assurance for Clearance Orders is invoked. d. Employer may terminate worker with timely notification to the NPC and DHS, if the worker: 1) Refuses, without cause, to perform work for which the worker was recruited and hired; 2) Commits serious acts of misconduct; 3) Fails to reach production standards (if applicable); or 4) Abandons Job (Job Abandonment) is absent for five consecutive previously scheduled days without prior notification to employer.
