Job Duties:

All applicants must able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in the job order and must be available for the entire period of employment. Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest various fruit, vegetables, and flowers. Work duties include picking stones, hand tilling, hoeing, weeding, transplanting planting, cultivating, spraying, fertilizing, pruning, and harvest ing. Experience required in mechanical planting, transplanting, cultivating, seeding, and spraying. Workers will perform other farm related duties as the need arises, including: cleaning :fiuit and vegetables; preparing products for storage or delivery to farm stand; bunching produce and flowers; arranging flowers from small arrangements to architectural-scale arrangements, garlands, and wreaths; maintaining farm buildings and machinery; operating and maintain irrigation systems; loading and unloading produce onto trucks; and pruning by hand or chainsaw. The employer will provide 2 day of training and 2 days of work for the worker to satisfactorily demonstrate proficiency in performing the duties described in this job description. Workers must be willing to work in various extreme weather conditions from damp and cold spring and fall days to hot and humid summer days. Workers must be able to lift md carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers must be available for work Monday through Saturday. Daily beginning and ending times will vary depending on crop and other conditions. The employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform assigned duties. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English.
