Job Duties:

Workers are required to work inside structures and outside in various weather conditions/temperatures depending on the time of year. Workers will load/unload trucks if properly trained, clean equipment and work areas. May perform miscellaneous duties on the farm around the sawmill such as harvest of hay, raking hay, clear fence rows, clean/repair farm buildings, dig ditches, cut firewood, feed animals, and other farm activities. Must be able to operate some farm equipment such as tractors, post hole diggers, small power tools, and hand tools. These five workers will be in charge of renovating fences and harvesting hay along with the other various duties provided on the original application. Initially, these duties were on the application as secondary duties that would have only been performed in emergencies such as weather, etc., however, now they will be their primary duties. Our family members will be working in the sawmill which will open up these jobs for the H2A workers. In the winter months of January and February, the workers will be feeding and monitoring the health of our cattle herd as well as weaned calves as we background them to sell in the spring.
