Job Duties:

Performs duties including: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain and fruit crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Transportation and application of organic and commercial nutrients to Schofield Farm properties. Tow harvesting equipment between Schofield Farm properties. Drive and operate self-propelled combine, grain cart, other harvesting equipment. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive grain and livestock feed trucks to transport crops/feed to elevator, storage area, various Schofield Farm properties or farms locations within Chautauqua county, New York. List of equipment: Row crop tractors and implements, GPS guidance, liquid application equipment, pumps, Class A tank trailers, Class A tri-axle trailers, grain and forage harvesting equipment, sprayers, tillage equipment, irrigation equipment, loaders, dozer. Must be willing to work in inclement weather conditions. Random drug screening required post hire at employers expense due to DOT regulations. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
