- Job Duties:
- Workers will prepare soil (weed and thin), plant, cultivate, and harvest melons. Workers will transport harvest to storage areas and pack for shipping. Workers will assist in cleaning and maintenance of the equipment used. Workers will assist in the cleaning of the storage areas. Workers may be required to work long hours in the sun. Workers must be physically able to bend and stoop for long periods of time. Able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Physically able to meet and perform all other job specifications. Drive vans, tractors and forklift (will train). Irrigating crops, setting and removing sprinklers, running wheel lines, driving equipment, operating pivots, flood irrigating, moving portable sprinklers and installing drip tape
