- Job Duties:
- Be able to operate gin equipment such as dryers, cleaners, gin stands, lint cleaners and bale presses; this equipment separates the seed, trash, and cotton fibers, then bales the cotton fiber in a bale; operate bale press and record weight of bale and seed; operate module trucks, seed trucks, and loaders; pull trailers; drive pickup to obtain parts and supplies; daily upkeep and cleaning of equipment while ginning; during times of peak need and depending on weather or crop conditions, hours requested may increase substantially; work at night may be requested; employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath.
