- Job Duties:
- Operating large farm equipment and machinery such as loaders, backhoes, forklifts, tractors, trucks, combines, swathers, balers for cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, storing, harvesting grain and oilseed crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat, hay; managing inventory by ordering inputs, supplies, and equipment as needed; performing preventive maintenance to ensure appropriate operation of equipment; troubleshooting and solving basic mechanical & electrical problems on the farm; performing some welding as needed; moving crops or equipment to designated locations; identify and ensure that safety hazards and unsafe practices are corrected and addressed; perform snow removal; driving farm vehicle, minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite.
