- Job Duties:
- Crawfishing duties include crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties in fields; manually cutting bait fish; baiting/checking traps; grading/washing crawfish for shipment; repairing traps as needed; work in the rice fields; tractor, equipment, and truck driving; field preparation; water maintenance; plant/harvest crops; manual shovel work; hoe weeds; spot spray; repair/maintain rice bins and fences; maintain levees, field roads and shop; Load/unload trucks into grain bins; level bins as needed; operate farm equipment. Job involves frequent stooping/lifting; must be able to lift 60lbs; exposure to extreme temperatures; 3 months experience in similar farm position. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
