Job Duties:

Farmworkers needed for crawfish season followed by rice season. Seasonal need begins in mid December and continues into rice planting and harvesting in the fall. Employer has a need for seasonal labor beginning in December so that fields can be prepared for crawfish season. Crawfish harvesting begins in early January and continues through June. Employer must then prepare rice fields for planting of rice in and around March and requires seasonal labor to assist with this. DUTIES include: manually cutting fish bait; baiting & checking traps; grading & washing crawfish for shipment; making and repairing traps as needed; tractor driving; field preparation (includes manual shovel work, hoeing weeds, spot spray treatments, and extensive walking); repairing & maintaining equipment, fields, roads, and shops.

Special Requirements:

Operation of farm equipment such as crawfish boats to harvest crawfish and tractors to prepare fields and levees. The workers may be required to take random, post-accident, and/or upon suspicion drug test POST HIRE AND AT THE EXPENSE OF EMPLOYER. Testing positive may result in immediate termination from employment. It is important to Employer that employees remain drug free while working and operating equipment as part of this farming operation.
