- Job Duties:
- Operating farm equipment and machinery such as tractors, skid steers; brush beating grass during the summer months; transporting hay and feed to cattle in the winter months when the grass is dormant; assisting with processing cows and calves by vaccinating, supplementing and feeding on a seasonal basis; pasture upkeep to water structures, feed bunks, fences, corrals, breaking ice in water troughs during the winter; moving cattle through various pens; assisting with birthing of baby calves from mother cows and heifers; weaning baby calves from cows; sorting calves to be taken to market and sold; driving farm vehicle and trailer to move cattle.
