- Job Duties:
- Daily feed and water cows and heifers in preparation for calving, break ice in water troughs; calve cows and heifers, warm calves if too cold; check newborn calves and mothers multiple times daily, record birth weights, tag calves; administer medicine and vaccinations to mothers and calves as necessary; moving cattle between pens with pickup and stock trailer or atv for rotational winter grazing; repair, maintain, and build livestock fences as necessary to contain and handle cattle.
