Job Duties:

Primary responsibilities will include: Operational management for our vertical farm and hurricane-protected agriculture project using hydroponics, aquaponics, and soil-based growing methods. Aiding our organization our farm development plans, crop selection. Aiding our organization with farm operations from seed to harvest. Aiding our organization in the development of post-harvest operations. Help us build our database of indoor vertical agriculture models, assit volunteers (university interns), among other related tasks inherent to the position. See Attachment Job Post.

Special Requirements:

Preferred: Well-versed in HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing systems. Familiarity with Food Safety as evidenced by the Produce Safety Alliance administered in compliance with the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Experience working in horticulture, food production or agronomy research. Knowledge of plant growing, disease prevention, and pest remediation, and IPM principles. A demonstrated knowledge and experience with operating controlled environment agriculture systems. Excellent project management skills. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and an aptitude for detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
