- Job Duties:
- Irrigation of crops using water trolleys or individual hoses with water nozzles, seeding and or transplanting, consolidation/fixing trays of plants so they are 100% full, shipping, picking orders for shipping, tag, and sort, placing crops/ moving rolling tables of plants within different greenhouse growing ranges, assist with maintenance, pesticide applications as directed by the head grower, mowing or weeding around the greenhouse to decrease insect pressure. Temperatures in the greenhouse during working hours may vary with daytime temperatures exceeding 90 degrees F. This job requires prolonged periods of standing and/or walking on concrete floors, repetitive movements, and frequent bending and/or stooping. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required after a worker has an accident at work. Workers with a clean driving record (no major moving violations such as but not limited to Driving While Intoxicated or Reckless driving) and able to obtain an insurable driver's license may drive company vehicles. Supervisor(s) will provide instructions and directions to workers. Workers must be able to comprehend and follow instructions and communicate effectively to supervisors. Workers are expected to perform basic duties in a proficient manner without close supervision.

- Any worker planning to use employer's vehicles will be required to obtain a Georgia driver's license. Speedling will provide weekly transportation to and from town for shopping and other tasks. Speedling will train how to use our equipment and specific processes. This job requires a minimum of 1 month of agricultural experience, preferably in a greenhouse, handling both manual and mechanized tasks associate with commodity production. Applicants must be able to furnish verbal or written statement establishing relevant prior work experience. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required.
