- Job Duties:
- Move cattle from seasonal pasturelands into winter facilities at the beginning of the calving period. Calve out calves during the calving season. Medicate, vaccinate and treat for seasonal sicknesses. Care for newborn calves and nursing mothers during the winter period when they require additional care due to fluctuating temperatures and seasonal sicknesses. Isolate sick calves. Assist in the livestock breeding process. Sort and process livestock. Prepare calves for sale. General farm upkeep duties such as fencing, facility maintenance and shop work.
