Job Duties:
Workers will get fields and equipment ready for crawfish season. Crawfish - repair/build traps, put traps out in fields and pick up traps from fields. Repair levees with shovel and repair pipes. Flood and drain fields. Workers will drive boat 50 to 70 acres to maintain, clean, sort and re-sack crawfish. Rice – Level rice bins, load/unload trucks. Workers may drive tractors, trucks and harvesting equipment. Workers may do general farm duties and keep field/equipment/work/living space clean. May drive workers to/from work locations and to grocery store.

Special Requirements:
Worker will need three (3) months experience working with rice crops and crawfish. A valid Drivers' License required to transport workers to fields and grocery store. Employer may conduct background check on all new applicants for employment at employers expense. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to workers. Workers should come prepared wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the environmental and working conditions described. Cell phone can only be used during breaks, emergencies, and communicated with supervisor when needed. Lifting/Carrying requirement may have a range of 5 - 40 lbs. Will work outdoors in extreme temperatures. Job involves extreme and repetitive movements such as: walking, sitting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Safety training on tools and equipment will be provided, if necessary.
