- Job Duties:
- Job duties include crawfishing in boats; catching crawfish; performing crawfishing duties in fields; manually cutting up fish bait; baiting and checking traps; grading and washing crawfish for shipment; making repairs to traps as needed. Work continues into fall. Job duties will include planting rice crop; prepare land; handle general cattle duties, including helping feed; clean barns/pens; travel to town to pick up cattle supplies; tractor, equipment and truck driving; water maintenance; manual shovel work; hoe weeds; spot spray; repair and maintain equipment, farm; build/repair fences; maintain roads and shop; load and unload trucks; all tools furnished; job involves frequent stooping and exposure to extreme temps, must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.; random drug screening upon hire (paid by employer); minimum three months experience in similar occupation. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
