- Tender potato seed, load seed into planters, calibrate and operate John Deere tractors with precision GPS (Greenstar) for planting potatoes; control irrigation to water crops in warm weather, scout fields to assess crop maturity, pest presence, and nutrient requirements; operate Lenco and Spudnik harvesters to harvest potatoes at correct moisture content; operate Caterpillar front end loaders; load potatoes to ship to vendor.
