- Job Duties:
- Job duties include: Rice, soybeans, corn and sorghum duties: drive tractors, combines, and grain trucks; prepare land, plant, cultivate, harvest rice, grain, soybeans, corn and sorghum; hand plant sugarcane; maintain levees; maintain/sweep grain bins; shovel work; operate large equipment; fix fences, feed and handle cattle, cut weeds, spray and clean fence lines; crawfishing duties include: crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties on fields, bait and check crawfish traps, fixing crawfish traps, shovel work on levees; 3 months of experience in similar farm occupation required. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
