- Job Duties:
- Manually cultivate, & harvest vegetables & herbs including but not limited to: lettuce, beets, carrots, onions, corn, squash, greens & spinach. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Duties include mulching, plastic removal, transplanting, weeding, thinning, and/or pruning crops. Set up & operate irrigation equipment. Harvest vegetables by hand. Harvesting, cleaning, grading and packing the vegetables grown on the farm. Work requires standing, sitting, kneeling and lifting up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis throughout the day. Employer will provide 3 days of training to allow workers to reach production standard. Workers are expected to pick a minimum of 6 boxes per hour of bunched carrots, beets, radishes & cilantro. While working in the field, all cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only. Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of three months of verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in his order.
