Job Duties:

Farm Equipment Operator 1 job Description: operate and maintain various types of farm equipment. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to farm equipment and ensures equipment is in good working condition and adheres to all applicable safety rules. Operate Tractors, Trucks, Center Pivots, Loaders, Pilers, Skid Steers, Telehandlers, Hogs and other farm equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Operate Tractors and other farm equipment for the Tillage, cultivating and harvesting of crops. Maintain equipment used agricultural production and field preparation such as tractors, irrigation equipment, 4-wheelers, trucks, and other commonly used equipment in agriculture. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to equipment as needed. Assist mechanics with repairs. Grease and check hydraulic fluids daily. Drive vehicles to haul crops, supplies, farmworkers, tools. Install monitor, maintain and repair the irrigation system for a specified area of the farm. Follow all applicable safety procedures. Assist in seed cutting. The Employer attests that all workers will be properly trained in the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) by qualified WPS trainers who have completed an EPA-approved Train the Trainer course pursuant to the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
